Advisory and ventures
Executive product, technology and operations leadership, without the search.
How Lean Product Group works with companies: a small number of engagements, specific problems, outcomes we put our name to.
Who we help
- CEOs and boards
- Banks, lenders and payments companies that need AI to show up in the P&L, not the slide deck, and a leader who has run the transformation before and will own the number.
- Fractional executive leadership
- Companies that need a chief product, technology or operations executive for a season rather than a search: a transformation to run, a leadership gap to cover, a board that needs a credible plan. A fixed number of days a month, inside the leadership team, with a defined handoff.
- Sponsor banks
- Standing up or fixing a payments program: PayFac sponsorship, embedded payments, ISV channels, and the risk and compliance model that lets the program scale without surprising the regulator.
- Software platforms and ISVs
- Embedding payments, choosing between referral, PayFac-rent and PayFac-own, pricing and residuals, and getting the first hundred merchants on without a multi-year build.
- Lenders and fintechs
- Product portfolio resets, build/buy/partner decisions, and the operating model that lets the engineering group ship the most valuable initiatives faster.
- Product and engineering leaders
- Installing an agentic operating model with real process, or getting an existing one under control. The lifecycle we run today, adapted to your stack and your rules.
How engagements work
- Fractional executive leadership
- A fixed number of days a month as your chief product, technology or operations executive: strategy, roadmap, operating cadence, hiring, vendor decisions, board material. Usually three to six months with a defined handoff, and the leaders who take it over are built along the way.
- Executive leadership
- Advisory or interim product and technology leadership inside your leadership team: operating cadence, decision rights, org design around a small human core, strategy, roadmap, vendor decisions, board material. A defined handoff from day one, and we build the leaders who take it over.
- Agentic AI engineering
- We build the product with you: idea to initiative with ROI, epics, a working mock your team can click, then the Iron Pipeline to production. Greenfield for a new product, brownfield for a feature inside the one you already run.
- Operating model install
- Two to eight weeks to stand up the agents, process and guards in your own repository, tuned to your stack and compliance rules, with your engineers and product leads trained on real stories. We leave when it runs without us.
- Payments program advisory
- A scoped engagement around one decision or one launch: the partner model, the sponsor bank conversation, the pricing and residual engine, the first ISV deals.
- Workshops and courses
- The three courses on this site, delivered to your team with your examples: agentic AI engineering, product management, and servant leadership for managers.
Every engagement starts with a thirty-minute call where we tell you whether we have solved your problem before. If we haven't, we'll say so and point you to someone who has. If we have, you get a one-page proposal with the scope, the outcome, the number of days and the price. The track record is the reference.
